Frequently Asked Questions

Direct, plain-English answers to common questions about using Watch Behind.

Watch Behind is a free educational website designed to help you understand your money. It provides easy calculators for monthly salary splitting, loan repayments, financial goals, and long-term mutual fund SIP investing.
Yes, Watch Behind is completely free to use. You do not need to pay or create an account to access any calculator or article.
No. Watch Behind provides general educational guidance and scenario calculations based on established money-management principles. It does not replace individualized advice from a certified financial planner, tax adviser, or lender.
It takes your monthly take-home salary and allocates it into living needs, personal wants, existing EMIs, and long-term investments using standard financial budgeting benchmarks. Any leftover money is allocated as a liquid bank buffer.
The 50/30/20 rule is a simple guideline where you spend up to 50% of your income on essential living needs (rent, groceries, utilities), up to 30% on lifestyle wants (dining, shopping, hobbies), and save or invest at least 20% for your future.
Your EMI percentage is calculated by dividing your total monthly loan repayments by your total monthly income. For example, paying ₹15,000 in EMIs on a ₹50,000 income equals an EMI ratio of 30%.
Results are mathematical estimates based on the numbers you enter. They may not reflect specific lender fees, compounding day conventions, changing floating interest rates, local taxes, or future market fluctuations.
Yes. In the Financial Health Guide tool, you can add multiple loans with individual balances, interest rates, tenures, and monthly EMIs by clicking the "Add Another Loan or EMI" button.
Yes. You can add every credit card debt separately as a loan account, enter its annual interest rate (e.g. 36% to 42%), and evaluate the fastest payoff method.
Paying the highest-interest loan first (Save More Interest / Avalanche) mathematically saves you the most money in total interest over time. Paying the smallest loan first (Clear Smaller Loans First / Snowball) helps you close individual accounts faster to build positive momentum.
The SIP Calculator uses the monthly compounding formula to show how much your monthly deposits can grow over a chosen number of years at an expected annual rate of return.
A Step-Up SIP is an investment plan where you automatically increase your monthly investment by a fixed percentage (such as 10% each year) as your salary grows, accelerating your wealth accumulation.
No. Mutual fund and stock market investments carry market risks. Watch Behind does not guarantee any investment returns or recommend specific securities.
Public calculator results are computed in your browser. If you sign in and use the dashboard, transactions, budgets, goals, accounts, and preferences are securely saved to your private cloud account and may be cached locally for faster use.
Yes. Watch Behind is designed to fit mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers comfortably without horizontal scrolling.
